It's October and that means it's Down Syndrome Awareness month! One would think it's a time to focus on the many accomplishments made by those who have Down Syndrome. A month dedicated to dispelling all the myths and extol the joys of having a person with Down Syndrome in your life.... that was the intent anyway.

Instead, every October, to 'celebrate' the month the media chooses this time to announce the latest development in search and destroy tactics against those yet born who have Down Syndrome.

The world's prejudice runs so deep, this is not even noted as the slap in the face that it is.

We have come so far, yet we have so far to go!
